Edit
in DV and master in MPEG2 The Amber MPEG2
archiving and mastering kit provides the DV videographer a
high quality, efficient way of storing DV productions for
mastering and distribution. By using I, B, and P frames
(MP@ML) the producer can be assured of high quality at a low
data rate. Quality levels can be set ranging from 1Mb/s to
15Mb/s. With variable and constant bit rate options the user
can adjust bandwidth depending on the complexity in the video.
Stereo audio can also be captured into Layer II formats up to
48khz at 16 bits.
Competetive
advantage The quality of
video capture is significantly better with true IBP support
(others use I-frame or IP-frame only). As with all Canopus
products, Amber is known for its stability. Amber is
compatible with DVRex and DVRaptor editing systems, and can
display a video window while capturing and playing MPEG2
files.
Note:The free DVD-RAM offer has since
ended.
