The MV960 is optimised for true 16:9 widescreen recording - from the high-resolution CCD to a 2.7"" wide colour LCD screen. Shot in 16:9 mode, video is perfect for watching back on the latest widescreen TVs. It takes just the push of a single button to switch between 16:9 wide and normal 4:3 shooting. A powerful 25x optical zoom, with image stabilisation and variable zoom speeds, delivers the highest optical standards. A high quality digital photo camera and not just a video camera, the MV960 saves photo to SD card. The top-of-the-range MV960 has DV and AV input connections. With DV input, video that has been edited on a computer can be re-recorded to miniDV tape. Anaglogue-to-digital conversion is possible with AV input, allowing old home movies to be transferred to digital tape for archiving or edited with new footage. Video can be shot in even the darkest condition thanks to the MV960's Night Mode LED. The MV960 also incorporates a slide-in lens cover and is small and light.
